About the Author

Sally Yearwood is the author of The Keys to His Kingdom. After travelling throughout Japan and England as a journalist, she spent time in New York for a prominent lifestyle magazine. She now lives in Brisbane, Queensland with her husband, two cats and an Irish wolfhound. She also writes under the name of Arabella Kidd – “The Regal Rules Series” and is currently working on the next installment of ‘An Aussie Affair’ – Mistress of Ivery Island.

The Keys to his Kingdom is set on an Island off the coast of Australia. Our heroine Jennifer is feisty, moral and well-meaning - highly relatable and I love that she's a pianist - it adds a really lovely character to the story in unexpected ways. Our hero I'll call 'a man of ages - masterful, confident and thoroughly engaging' who sets the tone for a compelling twist and some heart thumping dream sequences from me (I must confess). I was looking for a sweet but passionate romance and that's what I got - inspiring, with an historical, even ghostly twist to it. Jennifer's meeting the hero for the first time may be one of my all time favorite 'first meetings' and sets you up 'not knowing who to cheer for' for the rest of the novel.
Come what may?? I'm definately looking forward to the author's sequel 'Mistress of Ivery Island' as I haven't quite got my fill of Mark Dawson yet. Highly Recommended.

I enjoyed the story and the characters, but found myself confused several times. Can't remember this happening to me before (and I do like mysteries and suspense which often hinge on plot intricacies) so I'm not sure if I missed somethings or...? None of my confusion interfered with the overall story line, just in several scenes along the way. The cast of characters were definitely the strength of this book.
